The Sunshine Business Association (SBA) hosts a street market along Hampshire Road in the Sunshine Town Centre, which operates WEEKLY every Friday from 9am to 3pm, subject to weather. The street market provides an additional attraction to the Centre that complements the existing business offerings and attracts new customers. The market includes homewears, clothing, luggage, goldfish, jewellery, make-up plus much more and is located on the footpath along Hampshire Road between Service Street and Bennett’s Lane. Sunshine Lantern Festival
The Sunshine Lantern Festival is a free community event that takes place in the busy Sunshine shopping precinct along Hampshire Road, Sunshine annually in September, 10am to 9pm. It will be a full day of family fun, entertainment, rides, street performers, music, food of may nations, magical Lion and Dragon Dancing, a Lantern Parade to celebrate the full moon and ending with spectacular fireworks. Sunday 22nd October 2017.
Sunshine Short Film Festival
Sunshine Short Film Festival is hosted by the Sunshine Business Association every year in October. The Festival offers the chance for everyone to have fun, be creative and tell a visual story in a film that runs no longer than five minutes. Finalists have their films screened at the birthplace of Village Cinemas, on the big Screen at Village Sunshine Megaplex. Not only are there prizes up to $10,000 on offer; this could be your opportunity to get some exposure in the short film industry. The theme for 2017 is “BRILLIANT SUNSHINE”. Calling for Entries is open now till Friday 25th August. Screening event is on Friday 22 September 2017
