The Sunshine Lantern Festival was a free cultural community event staged annually by the Sunshine Business Association until COVID hit. The Lantern Festivals ran from 2009 till 2019 with a Virtual Lantern Festival online in 2020.  We celebrated with live entertainment, rides, street performers, animals, music, dancing, street food, Lion and Dragon Dancing, free lanterns for kids, a fabulous Lantern Parade along Hampshire Rd celebrating the full moon and ended with spectacular fireworks.
